– Church of San Stae – Wooden bas-relief painted with acrylics.
47” x 35” (120 x 90 cm)
Panel thickness 2,8”
Tribute to Venice.
Inspired by Marieschi’s paintings, the Opera depicts the main canal that crosses the historic center of the city and its marvelous gothic-floral palaces. In the center, the baroque facade of the Church of San Stae with its finely worked statues, columns and capitals. Carved with chisel (depth 9 mm), it manages to convey great three-dimensionality and depth so that the boats seem to rest on the water. The frame is custom carved in perfect Venetian style and painted in gold.
